Introduction

This volume is a companion-piece to my related compilation work, The Quotable Summa Theologica. My focus (as usual in my collections) is again overwhelmingly on theology, and relatively little on spirituality, devotional literature, philosophy, morality and ethics, liturgy, government, etc.
The subject matter is thus considerably narrowed down, yet with a saintly, monumental genius like St. Thomas Aquinas (1225-1274), a massive treasure-trove of articulately expressed ideas remains to delve into.
As with my other quotations books, I will draw exclusively from public domain sources. The goal herein is to make the theological work of the Angelic Doctor more widely known and able to be accessed quickly, for reference purposes.
In drawing from lesser-known (and lesser-read) works of St. Thomas Aquinas, I hope to be able to compile an additional compendium of his theological thought, that can supplement the Summa Theologica (and my own quotable abridgement thereof). We can never get enough of St. Thomas’ wisdom and insight!
My hope and wish is that readers may be as edified and educated and blessed as I have been in collecting this wonderful material.
