O Holy Night (Luciano Pavarotti)

Well, since I put up a You Tube video of my second favorite Christmas song, why not #1? I've never heard a better rendering of the gorgeous carol than this. If you know of one, by all means let me know!

The words were written by Frenchman Placide Cappeau in 1847, and translated into English by John Sullivan Dwight, a Unitarian minister [1812-1893]. The music is by Jewish Frenchman Adolphe-Charles Adam, 1847. It was first performed at midnight Mass that year.
